El Bitcoin ha vuelto a ser el foco de atención que no era hace 3 años, cuando por primera vez alcanzó en nivel de $20,000 y las Criptomonedas eran el activo de moda de especuladores a nivel mundial, enamorados de su alta volatilidad y extraordinarias valorizaciones, incluso en jornadas intraday.
La semana pasada, la Crypto creada por la personas o grupo de personas (no se sabe aún con seguridad), Satoshi Nakamoto, alcanzó la zona de $18,856, que era un nivel que no se veía desde el 18 de diciembre de 2017, y por cierto es un nivel que solo se había visto 3 días en el pasado. Así que en este artículo vamos a repasar las razones principales que han causado esta resurrección del token.
Lo primero, es la sensación de escasez. Desde su creación o descubrimiento en el 2009 se había dicho que el token, que va siendo minado a medida que se solucionan problemas computacionales en una red de blockchain, se sabía que solo se iba a permitir 21 millones de monedas. A la fecha van minadas 18.5 millones, es decir, casi el 90% de límite máximo, por lo cual los inversionistas han fluido en masa a demandar el activo, pese a que se estima, que el Bitcoin restante solo se termine de minar en 120 años.
El segundo factor, es que pese a las críticas y escépticos con respecto al blockchain y las Críptomonedas, el Bitcoin cada vez es más familiar entre los consumidores a nivel mundial, y aunque todavía le falta mucho para poder compararse con las monedas tradicionales, o alternativas como el oro u otros commodities, definitivamente es un activo mucho mas conocido, que cada vez gana más adeptos y tiene más usos, y todo esto ha ayudado a que su demanda sea más grande.
Hay un factor que ha ayudado también a ganar confianza en general en el mercado, y es que hemos empezado a ver un incremento interesante de los Stablecoins, o las Criptomonedas respaldadas por una moneda tradicional. Por ejemplo China, Reino Unido, Venezuela, entre otros, e instituciones como el banco JP Morgan, han anunciado la investigación y desarrollo de sus tokens propios, lo cual nos da indicios en que el futuro es digital.
Otro hecho en el mercado, que ha ayudado a la valorización del BTC/USD es la caída y perspectiva bajista en el dólar, que teniendo en cuenta que es la moneda en la que se indexa en la gran mayoría de veces la paridad, permiten tener un precio más alto del activo. Mientras que el Oro, que es otra salida natural del Greenback, tampoco ha tenido un comportamiento interesante últimamente, ni las acciones en Estados Unidos, así que los amantes por riesgo, y especuladores a nivel mundial, consideran al Bitcoin como unas de las alternativas más rentables en este momento.
Por último, el avance en su usabilidad, después de la noticia de que PayPal iba a permitir pagos con Bitcoin, ha sido un respaldo gigante, y ha abierto el apetito por más empresas que empiezan a asimilar la necesidad de adaptarse a este tipo de transacciones.
Sin embargo, no hay que dejarse llevar por la emoción y la efusividad, un panorama similar vivíamos en el 2017 y no hay que olvidar que la moneda alcanzó a bajar más de un 70% desde los máximos registrados, y aunque la subida de este año parece mejor sustentada en las razones que acabamos de repasar, estamos a muy poco de esa resistencia gigante en $20,000 así que hay que tener mucho cuidado en entrar sin estrategia.
